Cavalry FC II Unable to Attend 2026 Kamloops International Cup Due to Wildfire Conditions

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — July 24, 2026 — Kamloops United FC and the Kamloops International Cup (KIC) announced today that Cavalry FC II will unfortunately be unable to participate in this year's event due to the current wildfire situation affecting areas of British Columbia and associated travel and operational considerations.

As a result, all 2026 Kamloops International Cup matches and youth camp programming involving Cavalry FC II have been cancelled.

All individuals who purchased tickets for affected Cavalry FC II matches or registered for the Cavalry FC youth camp will receive a full refund. Additional information regarding the refund process will be communicated directly to affected participants and ticket holders.

While we are disappointed that we will not be able to welcome Cavalry FC II to Kamloops this year, the safety and well-being of players, staff, participants, and our community must remain the priority.

Cavalry FC has been a valued supporter and original partner of the Kamloops International Cup, and we look forward to continuing to build this relationship and welcoming Cavalry FC back to Kamloops as part of future KIC events.

Nottingham Forest Women Programming Continues as Scheduled

Importantly, the remainder of the Kamloops International Cup's professional programming involving Nottingham Forest Women's First Team will continue as scheduled, including tomorrow night match against the Vancouver Rise and Nottingham Forest girls youth camps.

Nottingham Forest Women are currently in Kamloops for their preseason training camp, and we look forward to continuing what has already been an incredible experience for our players, families, supporters, and community.
