Nottingham Forest U21 continued their winning ways at the Kamloops International Cup, grinding out a 2-1 victory over the League1 BC Selects on Thursday night at Hillside Stadium.
Forest got goals from Scott Hamilton his second of the tournament and Eleazar Lokote, showing their attacking quality throughout the match. League1 BC Selects lone goal came from TSS Rovers standout Michael Hennessy, keeping the game within reach.
The intensity ramped up in the second half when Forest were reduced to 10 men after a red card, forcing the English side to tighten up defensively. The Selects pressed hard for an equalizer, but Forest held firm and saw out the match with a gritty performance.
Now 2-for-2 in Kamloops, Forest will look to cap off their Canadian tour with a third and final game this weekend.
